City side of the Parish being forgotten - Submitted by Millimole 11 Apr 2008 - via the Forum

While I tend to agree that this is a 'fuss about not a lot' - in that 50p isn't really that much, I do feel that the residents of the parish are not being treated fairly - in that - once again - it appears that the investment is being targeted to the west of the motorway.

I would love to think that the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator will cover the whole parish, but I'll lay 50p (yes! that much) that those of use to the east don't see anything.

How much use do the residents on the City side of the parish make of the parish hall (or indeed how much do the residents to the North of Hinckley Road us it)? But I see that is where the bulk of this increase is being spent.

Yet, the parish council seem to oppose the development of the library on the city side - potentially removing just about the only community facilty on that side.

Maybe, just maybe, there might be mileage in splitting up the parish?
