On Sunday 7th December,
more than 300 bikers bearing gifts travelled in procession
along the A47 through Leicester Forest East.
The British Motorcyclists Federation, together with
the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, and
the Leicester City Council, got together to organise
the popular motorcycle ‘Toy Run’ in aid
of the Children’s Ward at the Leicester Royal
Infirmary.
Now in its sixth year, the bikers met up at at Mallory
Park and started off at 11am and arrived at Aylestone
Leisure Centre in Leicester at around 11.45am where
staff from the Children's Hospital greeted the bikers
with hot drinks and mince pies.
