Parish Council meetings Submitted by: Gerry on Nov 15, 2006

Are you one of the many individuals who may complain/moan about various aspects in LFE to your friends and neighbours and yet do nothing about it yourself?

Why not consider attending one of your Parish Council meetings and make your feelings known and also learn what is happening in the area.

The parish councillors are all residents of Leicester Forest East and act on your behalf and give up their own free time to make L.F.E. a nice place to live

Council meetings are held at the Parish Hall, Kings Drive on the 3rd Thursday of each month and commence at 7pm.

The agenda is informal and the public are invited take part, the chairman will ajourn the meeting for twenty minutes to allow members of the public (you) to speak and have your say.

You have an opportunity to address the council (who are all fellow residents acting on your behalf) with your concerns/opinions that will be minuted and if not dealt with at the current meeting, will be reviewed at subsequent meetings until resolved.

If you prefer, you can also discuss local issues with some of your Councilors on a totally informal basis on the 3rd Tuesday of each Month starting at 6.30pm.There is no agenda, no time limit and any local issues may be discussed.

The atmosphere is totally relaxed and everyone is made to feel welcome. Please think about it-the Councilors are to help you, so if they don't hear from you it can only be assumed that you are happy with things. I would add that I'm not a Councilor!
